Delete your data
If you have messaged a PhoneIQ business number on WhatsApp or called a line answered by our AI assistant, Arlo, you can ask Phone IQ, Inc. to delete everything tied to your phone number. This page explains how, what we delete and what we keep. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect.
How to ask
Use either of these:
- On WhatsApp: send a message to the number you talked to, for example "Please delete my data." Arlo confirms that the request was received.
- By email: write to help@phoneiq.co with the subject "Delete my data" and the phone number you used, including the country code. A PhoneIQ team member queues the deletion and replies to confirm.
If you email us from an address we can't connect to that phone number, we may ask you to confirm by sending a WhatsApp message from it, so that nobody can delete someone else's data.
What we delete
Everything we hold that is tied to your phone number:
- WhatsApp messages you sent and our replies, and their delivery records
- Phone call records and call transcripts
- Notes from earlier conversations (first name, business name, topic, follow-up)
- The reply-filter records for those messages
We also ask PhoneIQ's voice-agent service, which answers the phone calls, to delete its records for your number.
How long it takes
Deletion runs automatically, normally within 15 minutes of the request being queued. An email request is queued once a team member has read it.
What we keep
A record that a deletion was requested: when, how it was requested, how many items were deleted, and a one-way hash of your phone number. The hash lets us show that the request was handled. It does not store your number in readable form.
For each phone call event we also keep its event ID, type and time, with all content and phone numbers removed, so that a delayed copy of the same event can't bring your data back. These are deleted at the end of the normal retention period.
We cannot delete messages from your own WhatsApp app or from WhatsApp's servers. Those are covered by WhatsApp's privacy policy.
If you message or call us again after the deletion, we treat it as a new conversation.
